Bio

Elio Salvadori received the "Laurea" (M.Sc.) degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, in 1997 with a thesis on WDM-based passive optical access networks developed during a one-year stage in CoreCom, a research lab funded by Pirelli Cavi e Sistemi. He has been working as network planning engineer in Nokia Networks and Lucent Technologies until 2001, when he decided to join the novel Dipartimento di Ingegneria e Scienze dell'Informazione of the University of Trento, thanks to a three-years doctoral grant. Along with his PhD career, he has been collaborating as a consultant with the Advisory Committee "Comitato Provinciale per le Telecomunicazioni" of the Autonomous Province of Trento. In March 2005 he received the PhD degree with a thesis on traffic engineering in dynamic optical networks. He joined CREATE-NET in May 2005. Since January 2008 he is leading the Engineering and Fast Prototyping (ENGINE) area.
