Vision
The Engineering and Fast Prototyping (Engineering) Area contributes to the realization of the global CREATE-NET vision by:engineering novel technologies to translate research results into solutions for real life applications.
The way to implement this vision is multiple-fold:
- collaborate in the preparation and execution of R&D applied projects originated by both EU and local initiatives by leveraging on the skills available in the group, with a special focus on network virtualization techniques;
- translate research performed by the Research Areas into the development of proofs of concept/prototypes linked with the activity of the Center, which might eventually lead to commercial exploitation in the long term;
- provide PAT with trusted advisory services with respect to its main initiatives such as the e-Society/e-Welfare plans and to the activities of the Distretto Tecnologico Trentino.
