Spin-off companies are at the core of CREATE-NET’s strategic plan. Starting new business initiatives is an opportunity for the Center to support the growth of the local ecosystems while capitalizing from the R&D investments. By favoring the incorporation of new companies and the mastering of application markets, CREATE-NET can facilitate the adoption of research results and can capitalize directly (as shareholder or by licensing technologies) and indirectly (development of a local ecosystem). The spin-off can also become a vector to intercept new potential markets where CREATE-NET is not willing to invest directly but trough the spin-off can find a way to leverage on previous research efforts attracting capitals. In this case, the spin-offs will become sales agents of CREATE-NET R&D.  particular justified occasions duly discussed by the Assembly, in accordance with article 9 of the Policy.
