COMMUNITY DIRECTOR
We are looking for a self-motivated individual of high integrity and international experience working within a professional NPO environment who has personal passion for the mission of EAI. The Director must have outstanding interpersonal and diplomatic skills with proven entrepreneurial talents, as well as being an effective communicator and community builder within a web 2.0 business setting. Familiarity with the key stakeholders of the EAI innovation cycle would be a significant advantage, but not a requirement
Serving as the Community Director, the Director ensures the continued development of the EAI Community that empowers EAI to fulfill a significant strategic role in the European innovation cycle while fostering opportunities throughout the Community for innovation knowledge sharing, cross-disciplinary networking and professional growth. The Director reports to the President, collaborating with the SIB Chairs and various SIB committees.

- Promotes and markets the community
- Oversees and provides direction for individual SIB EAI Managers
- Oversees, creates and administers all EAI Community activities
- Manages all EAI Community staff, contractors and service providers within a vibrant organizational structure
- Sets priorities and ensures execution of the plans are successfully maintained in keeping within the EAI business model
- Participates with key EAI governing Boards, Councils & Committees to ensure strategic plans, policies, activities, lines of communication and relationships are clearing defined
- Manages financial and other business affairs of the EAI Community under direction of the President
- Ensures development and implementation of Services throughout the EAI environment
- Fosters collaborative relationships with key stakeholders of the EAI innovation cycle
- Ensures compliance with EAI governance, policies and operational requirements while looking for areas of improvement
- Maintains effective communications with key EAI staff/volunteer leadership
- Self motivated business leader with creative and tactical mindset
- Understands the volunteer driven NPO professional environment
- Familiarity with the full range of NPO activities, products & services
- Strong organizational & management skills
