Tinku Rasheed Profile
Tinku Rasheed is a Senior Research staff member at Create-Net. Before joining Create-Net in December 2006, Dr. Rasheed was research engineer with Orange Labs R&D from May 2003 until November, 2006. Dr. Rasheed received his Ph.D. degree from the Computer Science Department of the University of Paris-Sud XI., in 2007. He completed his M.S. degree in 2003 from Aston University, U.K. specializing in Telecommunication engineering and his bachelor degree in 2002 in Electronics engineering from University of Kerala, India.
Dr. Rasheed has extensive industrial and academic research experience in the areas of mobile wireless communication and data technologies, end-to-end network architectures and services. His technological and research interests are mainly in the areas of radio architecture design, network management, seamless mobility and ubiquitous services for fourth generation heterogeneous wireless networks. He has also relevant experience in the areas of radio resources management, green communications, network control, sustainable mobility, end-to-end Quality of Experience (QoE) and context-awareness aspects for mobile wireless networks. Dr. Rasheed is currently focusing his activities on cost-effective wireless access/backhaul solutions and sharing strategies for greenfield markets and emerging countries. He has several granted patents on distributed protocols for wireless communications and has published his research in major journals and conferences.
