Resource optimization for Future Internet scenarios
The DIStributed Computing and InfOrmation Processing Research Area aims at experimenting and advancing the resource allocation, deployment, management, monitoring and operations of Future Internet distributed infrastructures and platforms based on Cloud Computing paradigm. Future Internet aims at innovating business scenarios (e.g. water management, city security, mobility) through the adoption and advancement of Internet technologies. Such scenarios demand for dynamic and flexible ICT infrastructures that hide their complexity to developers and system administrators and that ensure service continuity and optimization through elasticity, scalability, high availability, dynamic allocation and placement of both resources and applications.
