The IEEE recently launched an IoT eNewsletter as part of its wider Internet of Things Initiative. Raffaele Giaffreda, Head of Smart IoT research group at CREATE-NET,  has been appointed as Editor in Chief of this publication.

The IEEE IoT eNewsletter is a bi-monthly, technically focused online publication that highlights important, current IoT-related technology developments, innovations, and trends from the world’s top subject matter experts, researchers and practitioners.

Raffaele is a research scientist whose work in CREATE-NET focuses on merging cognitive computing and IoT. He is also the Project Coordinator of EU FP7 iCore and has a leadership role in the innovation activities of the European Research Cluster on the Internet of Things (IERC AC3).
“It is a great opportunity and a privilege for me to serve in this rewarding role for this important initiative” commented Raffaele Giaffreda, editor-in-chief of the IEEE IoT eNewsletter. “IEEE is ripe with a world-class author base of experts in IoT-related technologies to deliver a newsletter with articles ranging from practical, technical pieces based on real-world experience to provocative commentary from leading opinion-makers,” continued Raffaele.

The eNewsletter’s inaugural issue is available on the IEEE IoT web portal (see http://iot.ieee.org). Subscription to the IEEE IoT eNewsletter is provided as a benefit of membership in the IEEE IoT Technical Community at no charge.
