Marco Savi was born in Bergamo (Italy) in 1988. He received his B.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering (2010) and his M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering (2012, summa cum laude) both from Politecnico di Milano. His M.Sc. thesis investigated users' privacy concerns in a Smart Grid scenario.
In 2016 he pursued a PhD in Information Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. His main research was related to the emerging Network Functions Virtualization paradigm and its application to the main network functions hosted in the access/aggregation segments of the network.
From March 2016 he is a postdoc researcher in CREATE-NET, where he is working on transport Software-Defined Networking, especially on the definition of algorithms for an application-aware network orchestration of IP/optical layers.
